Mario Lopez

Childhood star Mario Lopez as A.C. Slater from the hit show Saved By The Bell created his celebrity Milkshake at Millions of Milkshakes. He signed autographs and took photos with the first 100 fans in line at Westfield Culver City to raise funds and awareness for the Boys & Girls Club of Venice.  A portion of Mario Lopez’ milkshake sales along with a donation of $2,500.00 from Westfield Culver City and Mario Lopez was presented to the Boys & Girls Club of Venice at the event.
As an alumni ambassador, Mario helps bring to light the major issues affecting today’s young people, including the importance of graduating from high school and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and the key role of community-based organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs playing a role in the positive development of children.

Also, teens from the Boys & Girls Club of Venice honored attendees with a special theatrical performance entitled “Lighthouse” about the challenges that young people face in the world today.

Media checkin was at 5:30 there were already a couple dozen fans waiting in line. By 6:30 there were 100 people. By 7pm the mall was completely packed.

The media started off in the green room to do interviews and photos. Then Mario sat in the front row to watch the performance by the kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Venice. I must say it was really well put together.

After the performance Mario got on stage with the kids and the manager of the Westfield Mall and presented a check for $2500. Though it would have been nice to see a check for $25,000.

Boys and Girls Club

The youth of today is the same as it has always been. Every generation complains on how the kids in our society are getting worse, but the truth is that kids are just doing what we did as youths. They need guidence and support and with out this we can not expect things to ever change for the good. We need to stop investing all our time and money into these gifting parties, and charity auctions where they are sell things for ridiculous prices for so called charities and no one even knows where the money really goes.

Our kids are our future and will continue to be. Its up to us to make the change.

After presenting the check, Mario then when behind the counter with his wife Courtney Mazza and child along with his 2 nephews to make the Mario Lopez celebrity milkshake.

It was a really nice event, and was really cool to meet this guy in person.
